The Internet has literally brought the world to our fingertips, making what once was difficult or impossible to find information readily and often freely available.

One of the more productive uses of the Internet is for price shopping.

Katzscan does not provide cost driven solutions, but rather value proposition solutions.  

What's the difference?

In cost driven solutions, only the cost of the solution is considered.  The purchaser is a price shopper and is only looking at the immediate bottom line number.  The buyer does not look at the value or quality of the goods and services being offered, and will often choose the least expensive solution, which often times is inappropriate to solve the problem.

In a value proposition solution, the purchaser is not as much concerned with the cost of the solution components (hardware, software, consumables, consulting time), but rather the solution's return on investment and benefit or payoff to the company in terms of such measures as improved accuracy and increased efficiency.  

If you are interested in a cost driven solution, then the Internet is your playground!  And this is okay - sometimes you simply know what you need and are looking for it at the lowest cost.  (We do this when we know what we're shopping for!)  

But rest assured that in comparison with Internet prices, Katzscan's costs will be higher - we don't even bother to compete with Internet-shopped prices.  One reason for this is that we are not "hardware hawkers" looking to push out large quantities of product from inventory or simply rack up sales as a master distributor, who gets better discounts from their suppliers.  (Katzscan also does not maintain any inventory on anything.)  Katzscan is in business to make money, just like any other business.

If you want a cost driven solution, then the Internet is the best place, and in fact has the most value, for you.

If you are interested in a value proposition solution, then you: 

  • Value the objectivity, insight, and creativity an experienced solutions provider brings to the table to help you pick the right hardware or software product 

  • Value a solutions provider who presents solutions that are in the best interests of the client, as opposed to options that are only in the best interests of themselves

  • Value a solutions provider who does not have to worry about meeting sales goals or selling what's in stock, collecting dust on the shelves

  • Value consulting assistance based on many years of experience

  • Value a consultant with a history of creative and cost-effective solutions 

  • Value the ability to get continual, after-the-sale support and ask questions via phone call or e-mail (most often at no charge)

  • Value a long-term, on-going relationship with a solutions provider who becomes a valued resource of information and experience when you need it
