Taking control of the creation (including encoding) and distribution of your company's identification badges internally adds an extra layer of security to your application - your software vendor will not be able to produce an identification card that could be used to gain unauthorized access to your company's facilities. This separation of responsibilities helps to ensure the tightest level security for your business. These ID systems can store internal databases or read data from a variety of application databases.
