Mission Statement
Katzscan provides business operations and technology consulting to our clients to help them solve problems professionally, creatively, and cost-effectively. More often than not, we find that while our clients know their industry, we know their business. Many times the same or very similar solutions transfer easily across different and distinct markets. As such, clients find that affordable, highly functional, and quick ROI solutions are more easily within their reach than what they previously believed. With this knowledge of business and technology, Katzscan can add great value to projects by suggesting new methods of analyzing data for strategic reporting, reduction in wasteful business processes, and overall enhancements to business functionality. This also allows us to accept projects outside the core specialties. We will never accept an assignment we are not comfortable with or confident we can successfully complete! Katzscan believes that the solution to the vast majority of business problems can be found in off-the-shelf solutions which can be implemented with no customization. Multi-industry experience and a keen eye for bending business needs to software functionality (without breaking either one) has saved several of Katzscan's clients tens of thousands of dollars on different projects. The methodology for successfully accomplishing this can be summarized in the following sequence of steps: EXPLAIN First and foremost, our clients must explain to us their pains and problems. We need to understand what's frustrating our clients, or what our clients perceive their problems to be. ENVISION What goals are you shooting for, and what is your business direction? By solving the problem you've explained to us, where will that allow you to go? ENLIGHTEN After listening to our clients, we will discuss with you our thoughts and possible solutions. This may require some investigative work on our part, typically known as the "discovery phase" of a project. You will hear our opinion on some very real and possible solution options, as well as our thoughts for other benefits the different solutions could bring. Sometimes our clients' perception of their problem is not accurate, and thus our clients' perception of the solution is incorrect. We will help to identify, correct, and align both these perceptions. ENGAGE Katzscan forms a very close bond with our clients as we work through business requirements and technology solution options to find the "right" or "best" answer to the problems at hand. Each party creates a commitment to the other. This engagement is at every level of the enterprise, from the executive conference room to the distribution center dock door. The "right" or "best" solution by no means implies the "cheapest". We expect each solution to be cost-justified, of course. Like anything else, we get what we pay for, and should have no expectations beyond that. EMPOWER Our clients pay Katzscan to help find and implement business and technology solutions to solve their problems. It is our clients, not Katzscan, who pay for these solutions, and as such, own them. Katzscan believes that our clients should have intimate knowledge of these solutions, and we work with our clients to ensure the staff is fully trained and knowledgeable in regards to the new business processes and technology put into place. While Katzscan enjoys a long-term relationship with all our clients, we also believe that our clients should take as much ownership as possible of these solutions. |
